Rural Women in Drylands: An Exposure Story

Rural Women in Drylands by CGIAR Research Program on Dryland Systems on Exposure

On the occasion of the International Rural Women Day, the CGIAR Research Program on Dryland Systems is raising awareness about the critical role rural women play in agricultural livelihood systems around the world, and their contribution to food and nutrition security, economic growth, poverty eradication, combating climate change and preserving land and natural resources.

To commemorate this day, the CGIAR Research Program on Dryland Systems is launching Rural Women in Drylands, an Exposure story to bring into focus the vital contribution of rural women to their communities in dry areas, and to reinforce the need to empower, encourage and include them in all aspects of research and development projects, in order to assure long-lasting success at every level.
