Dr. Kristina Toderich is a plant scientist at the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) since 2006. She is assigned to the ICBA office at Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and works with the Asian Development Bank-funded Aral Sea Project. She holds a PhD in Botany from the Institute of Botany Academy of Sciences of USSR, Leningrad, Russia and a Postdoctoral course, Institute of Botany, Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Before coming to ICBA, Dr Toderich was Head of the Department of Desert Ecology and Water Resources Research with the Uzbekistan Academy of Science. A Romanian national fluent in several languages, including Russian, French, Polish and Uzbek, Dr Toderich is the first ICBA staff member to be based outside of the UAE. She was also a visiting professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in Tokyo, Japan. 

Dr. Toderich has published many scientific papers such as Conjugative development of reproductive structure of Haloxylon aphyllum, Web-based platforms of water quality of Zarafshan River basin integrated with promotion of technologies of marginal resources, Web-based, Geospatial Platform as an Interactive Solution of Zeravshan River Basin Analysing and Management and many more.
